The trademark term “Curtain Call” Filed In Europe likely Related To Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy
Reports from Deculture claims that they’ve spotted a trademark for “Curtain Call” in Europe. This most likely refers to Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy Curtain Call, an updated version of the rhythm game that’s in development for the Nintendo 3DS.
The Final Fantasy rhythm game first appeared on the 3DS back in 2012. Players were very keen of the game’s numerous stages, all based on tracks spanning the Final Fantasy franchise, from the very first adventure to XIII. Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call will follow up with over 200 songs, more than 60 characters and a new versus battle mode.
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call is overflowing with Final Fantasy nostalgia. The recent game from Nintendo 3DS includes tunes from recent entries like Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Type-0, and even Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.
Japan gets Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call in spring 2014. A western release for the game has not been officially announced yet. Square-Enix will likely make the details official soon after this trademark filing. It would be a wonderful news to get release dates, as well as information on release dates for other, non-Japanese markets.
