How can I file an opposition?
Filing an opposition against a trademark registration is described in Article 43-2 of the Trademark Act. This article defines the steps to be followed for raising an opposition against registration of a trademark.
In case of opposition against registering of a trademark, you can file an opposition to the JPO within two months from the date on which the Gazette containing the trademark was published. Along with the opposition files, you also need to explain as to on what basis the trademark lacks the requirements needed for registration.
